Year 2 Pomoting The Philadelphia Easter Promenade was crazy!
First let me start off by saying I’m so grateful to get the opportunity every year to be such a big part of this major event in my hometown and in my business district. The Easter Promenade happens every year on Easter Sunday on South Street. I, as a South Street business owner and Fashion Designer (OXYMORON FASHION HOUSE) get to promote it in the media/tv news/radio every year and judge the fashion contest for best dressed with other local celebrities. This year was much more media coverage then last year with the help of Aversa PR ran by the great Kory Aversa. I went from Fox 29 Good Day to Phl 17 and Cbs good morning back and forth all week leading up to the big day. The great thing I’m learning about being on the news and doing tv interviews in general is relax and be yourself. Most of the interviews are about giving the details of the event while also promoting yourself and having the happy positive energy to draw people to the event.
For me, I’m always living and learning the tricks to the trade but I always have a good time doing it. The Easter event was a success as usual. Tons of families came out with their loved ones and neighbors of the area came outside with their pets. The event every year is about having a good time with family and friends and just enjoying yourself with the community. Of course I had to show up and show off to each event wearing looks you could find in my clothing store or putting my spin on Easter Style.
